Cambridge Audio Azur 640R

For a mid-priced amp the Azur 640R really looks like a machine costing twice as much. Featuring 100W per channel with a strong line-up of decoding formats it isn't lacking in features. Three in and one out HDMI ports, the usual component video, s-video but missing DVI input or output.

On inspection the 100W claimed output is very under specced and the machine is more than capable of pumping out over 130W and over 170W in two channel mode.

Sound quality is excellent with action sequences really drawing you into the action. For around £600 this receiver is well worth the money and will probably find its way into my living room.
