This machine will take your standard DVD resolution movies and upscale them to 720p/1080i hi-def glory. Note however that this requires, firstly a HD compatible TV and also for the connection to the TV to be via HDMI. As well as playing the usual range of DVDs it will also work with divx meaning it will play video you download from the internet.
